Marcy Pusey Storytelling Coach

Story Coaching with Marcy Pusey

Use Storytelling as a way to express your point
  • Do you know your message needs to get into the world, but you don’t know how?
  • Do you have an upcoming presentation and you know it’s boring?
  • Have you seen expert speakers masterfully capture the attention of their audience and want to do the same?
  • Do you want to be on podcasts but don’t know how to bring your message in an engaging, impactful way?
  • Is your credibility and reputation on the line with your next message?

Yes? Then you’re in the right place. I’ve spent decades cultivating and weaving story into my messages and the messages of my friends and clients. If you’ve ever been impacted by someone’s book or presentation, it’s because they were skilled with their story elements.

My goal is to get your message into the world in a way that actually changes your audience.

That Time Story Changed My Life… and How it’s Changing Yours

One of my favorite books as a kid was “Stand Back,” Said the Elephant, “I’m Going to Sneeze!” In it, an elephant is about to—you guessed it—sneeze.

BUT, the last time he sneezed, the crocodile’s snout turned inside out and the bees lost the stings and their wings. The whole story is the plea of animals everywhere, to please don’t sneeze!

As a kid, one of my greatest, subconscious fears was to be a burden on my low-income, struggling family. I did everything I could to require little, cost little, and basically be non-existent. (I know, you guys, so sad!) Books like this one gave me a chance to experience being a burden and being accepted anyway.

I didn’t know it at the time, but when I read that story, my brain experienced it as personal. It gave me an experience of living out my own fear safely through story. My brain made connections, picked up survival pieces, and imprinted an important narrative on my mind: You can be a “burden” and be loved. Or even greater, and still love yourself.

Along the way, I learned the psychology of storytelling and its incredible impact on our brains and on our human experience. I learned how story makes our brains light up in unique ways and interact with each other differently.

Give the world the gift that will impact lives: Story

Now, I’ve taken more than a decade of workshops, webinars, conferences on writing and storytelling, and I want to invest that in you.

You ARE good enough, talented enough, and smart enough to effectively tell your story. I will show you how.

I, as your story coach, will help you weave storytelling into your writing, whether it’s your business and market copy or your personal memoir, into the speech for your next presentation, or on the stage at the local coffee shop or the Moth Radio Hour.

You’ll save the thousands of dollars and hours I’ve spent to learn everything I know. But more than that, you’ll have an engaged audience and forever fans, furthering your impact and reach.

At the end of our coaching time, you’ll have all the tools you need to create and express inspirational stories for any medium.

You and I can champion the creativity and strengths within each child. Even as adults, we can tell stories, and sometimes those stories provide healing as well as a creative outlet.

So this is my challenge, if you are a teacher, speak story. If you are a parent, read stories. If you’re a writer, publish stories, an actor, perform story. Sponsor and plant libraries and theaters in developing communities. We each have a role to play.

Use pens, hope, and words to ignite and nurture the potential of our children, and ourselves. Reach a kid through story, and you will change the world.

Persuasive writing and story opened doors for me as a child. I didn’t have enough support around me to help me walk through that door, so my early careers went in a different direction.

However, over time I circled back around and now I coach people on how to share their stories. I help adults, and children, stoke their creativity.

Listen to the talk. If it inspires you, let me be the mentor and help you turn your creative dreams into reality.
